The rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic on March 11, 2020, has significant ramifications on the commercial activities of companies across several sectors. As governments move to implement various measures to contain the spread of the virus, the capacity of companies’ management policies and systems are being tested. This relates both to the adequate protection of public health and appropriate protections for occupational health and safety as well as labor security.
