ISS STOXX Named Category Winner for Cyber Risk Quantification in the Chartis Research RiskTech100® 2026 Report

NEW YORK (October 28, 2025) – ISS STOXX, a leading provider of comprehensive and data-centric research and technology solutions that help capital market participants identify investment opportunities and risks, today announced it has been named the category winner for “Cyber Risk Quantification,” by Chartis Research in its just published RiskTech100® 2026 report.

Chartis Research is a leading provider of research and analysis on the global market for risk technology. The RiskTech100® is Chartis’s flagship report, a comprehensive and independent study of the world’s major players in risk and compliance technology. Using what it describes as a robust, repeatable methodology, Chartis ranks the top 100 risk technology providers and identifies the top players in specific risk and compliance categories. The awards also recognize the category winners for key areas of risk and compliance management technology.

“As reflected in this year’s RiskTech100, ISS STOXX continues to lead in cyber risk quantification,” said Sid Dash, Chief Researcher at Chartis. “With its ongoing innovations, it is introducing new measures and benchmarks to a complex but central risk area in the digital economy.”

The ISS Cyber Risk Score is a scaled representation of the likelihood that an organization will suffer a significant cybersecurity incident within the next 12 months. The score is computed by analyzing Internet-exposed network and domain signal data, along with business profile characteristics, with a machine-learning model that is trained using historical cyber security incidents.

“We are again extremely pleased to be recognized by Chartis for the efficacy and broad utility of the ISS Cyber Risk Score, which, since last year’s award, has continued to gain currency across the capital markets ecosystem,” said Doug Clare, Managing Director for Cyber Strategy at ISS-Corporate. “Our empirical approach ensures that our solution is responsive to evolving conditions, delivering exceptional depth of insight into cyber incident risks, which continue to grow in both prevalence and severity.”

The ISS Cyber Risk Score is offered to institutional investors through ISS Sustainability Solutions, the responsible investment arm of ISS STOXX, as a means for investors to understand forward-looking cyber incident risk and as an insightful tool for more meaningful issuer engagement. Separately, ISS-Corporate makes the ISS Cyber Risk Score available to companies for self-assessment, peer benchmarking, and third-party risk management. Importantly, the score in this context enables companies to see their cyber incident risk through the same lens as their investor stakeholders. The score is also widely used by insurers for cyber risk underwriting and portfolio risk management.
