LONDON (August 5, 2025) – ISS Sustainability Solutions, the sustainable investment business of ISS STOXX, today announced the acquisition of Sust Global, a leading provider of geospatial risk modeling and analytics for institutional investors, insurance companies, and others to understand, quantify, and visualize asset-level risks across a variety of geo-datasets and domains.
Founded in 2020, Sust Global draws on a proprietary geospatial AI engine that provides analytics to analyze and understand relationships, trends, and patterns within a region, resulting in high-resolution insights on material climate and nature related physical risks. The company delivers flexible data products that integrate into existing institutional client processes, with solutions that include a visual risk analytics tool, regulatory reporting solutions, data exports, direct API tools, and bespoke solutions. Sust Global’s geospatial platform harmonizes multimodal data, trains domain-specific predictive models, and deploys them into institutional investors’ workflows, applications, and indices.
“Institutional investors’ need for geospatial data and enhanced physical risk analytics is growing rapidly and we are pleased to address that demand through this transaction,” said Till Jung, Head of Sustainability Business at ISS STOXX. “Sust Global is a highly complementary fit whose platform and AI-powered physical risk models pair well with our proprietary asset level data. Our ability to map them to corporates and investment portfolios will result in highly effective solutions for our institutional clients.”
Financial institutions use Sust Global’s geospatial analytics to understand location-specific risk exposures and quantify financial impact. Sust Global’s products provide drill-down capability into individual asset locations, delivering essential data for risk management, due diligence, regulatory compliance and engagement.
“Our team at Sust Global is excited to join with ISS Sustainability Solutions and further its long-standing and important mission to provide investors with cutting-edge solutions to monitor portfolio company risks, including those that are geospatial in nature,” said Josh Gilbert, Sust Global co-founder and CEO.
